Representative Rob Matzie Endorses Beth Tarasi for Congress

Matzie is First Democratic State Representative to Endorse in PA-12 Congressional Primary

January 29, 2018 - Ambridge, PA - Today Pennsylvania State Representative Robert F. "Rob" Matzie (D-Beaver/Allegheny) endorsed Beth Tarasi to represent PA-12 in the U.S. House of Representatives.

"I have personally known Beth and her family for some time and know she is prepared to fight for what's right including protecting and improving Social Security and Medicare," Matzie said. "She will stand up for what is fair and do what works to bring Southwestern Pennsylvania common-sense to Congress."

Beth was born and raised in Western Pennsylvania. After graduating from Quaker Valley High School, Beth attended the University of Pittsburgh on a women's basketball scholarship, captaining her team her senior year. After graduating from Pitt, Beth worked while going to Duquesne University Law School at night. Beth became a single mom, raising two boys while practicing law. For 27 years, she's fought in the courtroom for regular people - taking on big corporations, giving our neighbors a voice.

Currently the 12th Congressional District of Pennsylvania stretches from the Ohio border across Beaver County, through northern Allegheny and Westmoreland Counties, to Johnstown and Somerset.
